Freakin’ glorious. My personal highlight of Fremantle Market. Went early in the morning to order a pick up for later so I can just skip queue during their peak time. Highly highly recommend getting it! It’s bloody phenomenal.
I visited this shop recently and absolutely loved it! I tried the roasted pork croissant bánh mì and the charcoal grilled chicken bánh mì, and both were amazing. The mix of flavors was unique and unforgettable crispy, flavorful. Really recommend the croissant with roasted pork. It’s absolutely amazing! My friend also ordered the grilled chicken vermicelli and grilled pork rolls, and they were just as delicious. Everything tasted fresh and well-prepared. Such a great spot to try something new
Located within the fruits and vegetables section of the busy freo markets lies the best banh mi stall you’ll find in all of Perth. The roast pork is always succulent and juicy, packed full of flavour with a generous helping of the delicious paste of fried shallots and spring onion on top. I’ll let the picture do the talking! They’ve also put a unique twist on the every day banh mi - serving it up in a tasty, crispy croissant instead! It’s my go to whenever I visit them now. If you’re ever in Freo markets, this is a must try! Just make sure you pop in early before their queue starts, or you’ll be waiting awhile before you get your hands on it! 🤤
When it comes to roast pork banh mi, Viet Kites-Fremantle Markets is definitely a spot worth checking out (at least for my taste). I went for the deluxe croissant banh mi, which combines both grilled pork and roast pork with all the classic banh mi fillings. Every bite had that satisfying crunch from the roast pork balanced by the buttery, flaky croissant — truly a party in your mouth that you never want to end. Just a heads up: it does get busy, so expect around a 10–15 minute wait depending on the day and time of visit and it can go as long as 30-45 minutes. Totally worth it.
This is pretty much the sole reason that I still go to the Fremantle Markets (at least since the $2 shop closed) With a choice of three different breads and a range of protein options there's something for everyone. It's an excellent choice for a breakfast, lunch or (early) dinner! I've been coming here for years and intend to keep returning for as long as I can
