love this place very good area very kind for tourists very friendly I had 2 meals here and I was shocked by the taste amazing! I will rate this place 1/10! very vintage very traditional would definitely go back here again ๐๐๐
It was a quiet Sunday evening, with only about 10 customers in the restaurant across 4 tables. I ordered three dishes and waited for over an hour. Unfortunately, the food was really disappointing. The seafood salad, in particular, should have had a distinct Thai signature taste spicy, tangy, and flavorful but instead, it tasted sweet, almost like dessert. I specifically asked for it to be spicy, but it had no kick at all, no flavor, not even a drop of lime juice, itโs came with 4tiny prawns for $23.90 I was so disappointed that I went up to ask for some lime to fix the taste myself and ordered a drink, but no one in the restaurant paid attention. One staff member was on the phone, and someone in the kitchen saw me but only walked halfway towards me before turning back. I stood there waiting for about five minutes without receiving any service or even being acknowledged.
Satay chicken had 2 pieces of chicken.. Crap quality, it looked raw...why did they get rid of beef? Where is the peanut in the satay sauce? Absolutely crap..no wonder my friends no longer go there...not Asian but cheap wannabe crap
Don't judge a book by its cover. Great food very friendly staff. Lucky to find this place as we were recommended the place from the bottle shop around the corner! Came back again and still a great feed. They were so busy. We got there as the door opened at 5 and the phone just didn't stop ringing. No wonder it's good food. Thanks again they see you again next year ๐
Been dying to try after hearing how good the food is here. We got Satay chicken and spring rolls Satay sauce was beautiful and spring rolls fresh and full of flavour no oily at all. Mains we tried Beef paid Thai, chicken jungle curry and coconut rice. Beef paid Thai is the best I've had in Townsville I've tried a few places and they had no flavour this was delicious. Noodles cooked perfectly fresh vegetables big serving and the nuts throughout ๐. Jungle curry I was a little bit let down flavour was nice but I didn't realise it's not made with coconut cream it's now crossed out on the menu so it's more like a broth. Coconut rice is beautiful it's a bit sweet like it's had condensed milk put through it. We will definitely be back. Hopefully to dine in next time.
