Food was good. However service was rather slow and took 45 minutes for food to be ready after order was taken.
Samgasat Thai Cuisine This place is our absolute favourite restaurant in Cairns and we're so happy to see after been away for a while it's just as amazing as ever ! Stunning food, staff so happy to see you with a warm welcome & smile's 5 STAR'S See photos for our delicious Thai fish which is fantastic and Crispy pork OMG the taste is out of this world We'll look forward to our next visit ๐
We had been before years ago and it was good. Now opposite experience. First up yes we had no booking and as usual made to feel like outcasts even though the restaurant was not full and their reservation list was not half full. So we got shown to a table down the back. We ordered two mains and some rice. Now I expect a main to be a main size. I was left scratching my head as to whether I ordered an entree. The photo is of the chicken with dipping sauce, my hand for reference. It was very small and looked like someone's leftover chicken. Also very tasteless. Our other dish was the papaya salad with prawns. I could barely see any prawn. Half that dish was garnish. For $23 or more I expect a main size. Also the waitress forgot our other drink and then forgot our rice. There's no love in the food. Sorry won't be back.
This is a most disappointing meal I have in Cairns . Despite early prior booking, they arranged my table right at the door and there were only two other tables filled at the time, despite my request for a different table. Then the staff came to serve with an attitude on her face. The price of the dishes were comparable to other eateries. However the portions were almost only half of other eateries. And the king prawns were not fresh! They lost my patronage forever!
More spaces outdoors seating and indoor so much better now. We still love our dinner the same menu every time. Prawns Crunchy is amazingly delicious and Stir Fry Vegetarian also splendid. Will try new menu next time for sure. Great smiley staffs are plus points. Keep up the good work!
