This was my first visit on Saturday, and the food was surprisingly goodโespecially the curry, which was absolutely delicious. The lunch set offers great value for money. What truly stood out, however, was the service from Daryl. Itโs been a long time since Iโve experienced such warm, attentive, and genuinely pleasant service. The entire dining experience felt welcoming and effortless, like a breath of fresh air. Damn, I forgot to take photos. Only have the take away dish to show nowโฆlol
We came almost near closing and was greeted with the owner who was so nice to us, we ordered 2 lunch plates which was so affordable and gave us so much food. The food was delicious we couldnโt beleive the place wasnโt more packed. They didnโt even rush us even after the restaurant closed. HIGHLY recommend you to visit this spot if your around for some delicious and modern Thai food!
Well to start off it was very pleasant, but after an hour and a half waiting for mediocre food was the biggest disappointment! My meal was cold, my daughter's kids meal was a joke! 6 chips and a burger smaller than my tablespoon, of which was as hard as a rock! (Which they replaced with a fresh one). Won't be on my bucket list to go back.
We walked in on a Saturday night and saw how highly rated it was, and the venue looks really nice, so we had high expectations going in. We ordered pad thai and massamam curry and drinks, drinks took 20 minutes to arrive (a beer and soft drink) and the food 40 minutes, which was fine but we were definitely hungry when it came out. The pad thai came out nearly completely cold. The flavour was nice but after waiting - eating cold noodles and chicken was a disappointment. The massaman curry - probably the worst I have ever had and paid so much for. They had essentially half an onion breaded and deep fried with no flavour, and taking a bite into thick, hard onion was not what I was expecting. Instead of normal potato cooked with the curry, there was a dry, lumpy mash potato. The meat was in large portions and was soft, but was so thick the flavour didnt get into the inside of the meat. Finally, the curry flavour was nice - but there was so little actual sauce to try and spread across the dry potato and dry meat, we were trying to scoop it all up. Will not be recommending.
The entire FOMO area is really inviting and and busy with the Paste restaurant right in it. We were greeted with next level hospitality with name of our waitperson being introduced to us and water brought to the table right away. The menu is not very big and it does not have a lot of what you would usually expect on the menu at a Thai restaurant, but I'm sure you would find something to enjoy! The Pad Thai was so yummy and generous and I got the crispy pork belly with beans and chilli and Thai basil,..... which didn't have any beans but heaps of chilli and also brussell sprouts, carrot, mushroom and zucchini somehow instead....but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Forgot to take photos of the food before we started eating but I took some a little of the way through! ! Daryl gave us exceptional service, so friendly and helpful and efficient and offered a yummy iced Milo drink as an option which we indulged in and it was FANTASTIC! Overall I loved it as I love great service with a smile! Thanks Daryl and Zach. Recommend for sure ๐๐ฝ
