My order was takeaway and it was the first time... but it will not be the last! So happy. We ordered the Penang Duck and Green Curry, and both were fabulous. Great service when ordering and picking up too. Very nice people :)
Enjoyed a great meal at this restaurant last night. Greeted with a friendly smile sat at a lovely table and served by a very attentive waiter. Would highly recommend.
I just tried this restaurant for the first time. Ordered from the specialty chef section, the tast beef. It is extremely bland, I could have done better at home and I'm no expert. The meat is tender but that is very simple knowing a few tricks. The best part of the dish is the coriander. One would think from the specialty part of menu there would be a little extra pride in the result. Pretty lazy in my opinion. Very disappointing.... At least I know my next meal will be better ๐
Went to this Thai restaurant for dinner during the week. I ordered the Pad Thai. The noodles were perfectly cooked and the portion size was generous. My boyfriend got the fish dish, it was super fresh and the sauce had a great kick without overpowering the fish. Service was friendly and the food came out pretty quickly. To top it off the dessert was 10/10! We are coming back again to try some of the other dishes!
This was my first time dining at No.8 Thai in Griffith, and unfortunately, it was a terrible experienceโboth in terms of food safety and customer service. At first, the food seemed fine, and we even took photos. However, as we were nearly finished with the fish, we discovered a metal brush bristle hidden in it. This could have been extremely dangerous if swallowed. When we reported the issue to the staff, instead of taking responsibility, they shifted the blame, claiming they "just cook the fish." We refused to pay for the dish since the waitress only offered a half-hearted apology without any genuine concern. She even insinuated that we brought the metal bristle ourselvesโan outrageous accusation. If thereโs any doubt, they should check the CCTV footage. Additionally, the waitress messed up our order, further worsening the experience. The lack of accountability and dishonest attitude made this the worst customer service Iโve encountered in Canberra. We didnโt pay for the fish in the end, but what we really wanted was a sincere apologyโnot excuses or false accusations. Never dining here again.
