This restaurant is part of the Ibis hotel on Macquarie Street, but anyone off the street can go for a meal. I would recommend ringing first to make sure there is a table for you. Omg the best Asian food. I went there alot as I was staying at the Ibis. The staff are wonderful, atmosphere is nice and not loud and crowded. The food is the best ,I had the duck curry and rice and a prawn and noodle dish. A bit spicy the first time I had so I asked for no chilli. Desserts were amazing and so were the cocktails. Overall a top place to go for a great meal.
A rare 5 star food review but Hobart knocked it out of the park for us! This place was close to our hotel and after a long day of travel and settling in we were best and decided close was easy and best for a couple of tiny tired legs. And my word was it a FANTASTIC CHOICE! Took the kids order first and fast and provided drawing materials to keep them occupied. Chicken nuggets and chips for Mr 3. MIss 5 got Spag Bol and we expected the usual spag bol for kids....it was absolutely beautiful. Slow cooked with amazing flavours. Devoured in no time and asked for seconds! Now for the adults. Two bao bun starters - char siu pork and ayam goreng fried chicken. Both absolutely bursting with flavour. I wish we had ordered a few more! Main courses we had the Vietnamese caramelized pork belly with pepper prawns and a Thai green curry. Now I like my spice and I asked for it authentic - any my word was it hot! Beautiful and spicy and bursting with flavour. Easily one of the nicest Thai green curries I have ever tasted. No dessert as we were ready to pop after all that. Couple of cocktails that were lovely as well. Blown away by the beautiful food and the wonderful service. We will return on our next trip to Hobart.
Located on the ground floor of the Ibis Styles on Macquarie St, this amazing gem of an Asian eatery blew me away with its terrific quality food and attentive service. Whatโs more, thereโs also a cool bar in the restaurant where you can get a few sneaky drinks or cocktails while you indulge in this little piece of Asia within Tasmania!
Beautiful space. Good vibes. Buzzing. Food flavours were amazing - picks were pork belly and pink eye potatoes. The duck was okay and the bao was moist. Do recommend. Very tasty, especially after a long time waiting to attend.
Had a wonderful outing with my wife at the restaurant. The waiter gave a good introduction to some of the food on the menu. It was creative to have fried chicken as filling in Chinese bun. The seafood Char Kway Teow was tasty. The lamb ribs were soft and my wife actually thought they were pork ribs. Well done to the team.
