Have been coming to Mali Thai since opening the new location in Williamson Street but before that also frequented old restaurant in Mollison Street. Food is ALWAYS fantastic and consistently maintained quality and freshness along with delicious flavors-l. Always great value. Highly recommended 👍 🙂

I had high hopes for Mali Thai in Bendigo, but unfortunately the experience was disappointing. The service was good and the staff were friendly, however the atmosphere felt a bit overwhelming rather than relaxing. The food was the biggest let-down. I ordered the Thai green curry, which sadly didn’t resemble a traditional green curry at all. The sauce had split and the flavours were not balanced or authentic. Other dishes at the table were also rated as “not very good” by my fellow diners. I only finished my meal because I had already paid for it — otherwise I would have chosen to eat elsewhere. Overall, while the service was pleasant, the food didn’t meet expectations. Sorry 😞

We (a mix of all age groups) had a lovely meal. The service was prompt, the food was very tasty, there were good vegetarian & vegan options, and the decorations are quite beautiful.

We (5 travellers) ate on a Sunday night. The service was excellent. We shared our food order. Every dish was good or excellent - mild but very tasty. Special mention for the Tamarind fish. We also found the Wild Duck (etc) shiraz (etc) excellent. We thought the cost was low for the quality - $43 a head. A very happy find.

From the moment you step into the restaurant, it’s clear that the owner has poured their heart and soul into creating a welcoming space. The decor is beautifully designed, making for a truly stunning atmosphere. The food is nothing short of exceptional. We enjoyed the MP2, which is a noodles, Plus a yellow curry, rice, and rotis, and each dish surpassed our expectations. Everything we’ve tried has been incredibly flavorful. No Thai meal is complete without a Singha, so be sure to indulge (if you’re over 18). The service here is top-notch—polite, friendly, and genuinely helpful. If you find yourself in Bendigo and crave Thai cuisine, don’t miss this gem. Thank you, Mali, for an unforgettable experience! We can’t wait to return.
