Best Vietnamese restaurant in Townsville. You won’t be disappointed. The best pork roll (Banh Mi) you’ll find in Townsville also!. Definitely recommend ❤️
I came here on Sunday around 11 a.m., and at that time they only had a small menu of bánh mì, bún, and cơm. I ordered the bò nướng sả cơm (grilled lemongrass beef rice bowl) and a traditional cà phê sữa đá (Vietnamese iced coffee), and oh my god! it was exactly what I was craving! The rice bowl came with warm, fluffy rice, fresh crunchy veggies, and beef that could’ve been a little more tender, but the fish sauce on the side made up for everything. It was the perfect balance of sweet, spicy, and sour, absolutely delicious! And don’t make the same mistake I did by ordering a small iced coffee, get the large! It’s that good. Sure, you might be wired for the rest of the day, but honestly, it’s worth it. Don’t sleep on this place. It might be tiny, but it packs a punch!
Lunchtime on a Sunday, fairly quiet so received our dine in meals fairy quickly. We chose the grilled pork sausage banh mi and the lemongrass chicken. Preferred the pork over the chicken…would be awesome if there was another variety of pork instead of just the sausage. Quite a large size fluffy crunchy roll. Points for pate and the small chillies were hot. Filling was a bit scarce, but cucumber, shredded carrot and coriander was fresh. Overall, it was tasty but a bit pricey at $16 each.
I’ve had 100’s of banh mi’s all over Melbourne/Sydney & this would have to be one of the best I’ve tried. Great bread, fresh ingredients. Very good coffee also!! Highly recommend.
They were hugely busy, but our drinks and food still arrived quickly. I love that you can order from the table now. The food was fresh, tasty, and the serves are great sizes. The bò lá lốt was juicy and smoky, and the shaking beef is perfectly cooked to medium rare.
