A casual spot blending Japanese and Thai influences, with a focus on bold Northern Thai flavours. The beef khao soi is rich and comforting, with a well-balanced curry and tender beef. The dry khao soi with grilled chicken offers a lighter but still flavourful option, with the noodles and smoky chicken working nicely together. The garlic pork adds a savoury, punchy side to the meal and rounds things out well. Portions are satisfying, and everything comes out quickly, making it an easy choice for a relaxed meal.
Northern Thai Khao soi x with Japanese Pork Katsu does feel like a weird gimmick that shouldn't work but it does! The curry sauce is well flavoured and noodles, good texture. The classic chicken version is tasty but the fusion combo like ribs and katsu works well too. Has vegetarian options. Can fot decent sized groups for lunch.
We visited based on recommendations, and this meal turned into an unexpected comedy show with my friend. Here’s the breakdown: 1. Chicken Chop Noodles: The signature chicken chop was undercooked, with pink/red streaks inside. A major food safety red flag. 2. Pork Blood Rice Noodles: The broth was overwhelmingly salty. The pungent, metallic smell of blood was not cleaned properly, and the meat in it had a questionable odor. The overall experience was a disaster. It taught us a valuable lesson for future food adventures: always order just ONE dish first. If it's good, order more; if it's bad, treat it as a successful "landmine detection" mission. This visit was a perfect example of the latter.
Not sure how I feel about this Japanese–Thai “fusion” restaurant. The only Japanese items I noticed were the gyoza and chicken katsu, so I’m not sure I’d really call it fusion. The soup was also very spicy, much spicier than expected, which made the flavour a bit overpowering. However, I did like the condiments that came with the set and the generous amount of meat. Overall, good value.
You can enjoy an especially creamy and delicious curry noodle here! I really like the chicken katsu Khao soi! The chicken wings, pumpkin tempura and BBQ red pork is also good.
