We recently had a nice experience here. Ambience is cosy.Personal favourites were burrata chaat, vada pav, palak paneer, butter chicken and black garlic naan. The staff and owner/ manager were friendly and helpful and also listened to some of our feedback appreciatively. We hope to be back to try the rest of menu.

Decided to eat her as we were staying in a motel nearby. Greeted by the lovely Spanish waitress (I'll say Na or similar is her name) who was a hoot, such a warm and friendly human We ordered the Roti Duck tacos, cauliflower heads, butter chicken and the Pakel Paneer. Washed down with a glass of Pinot. Couldnt fault it. Not particularly cheap but the food and the waitress made our experience all the worth while. Though it's probably not the thing to do we both got a hug. We'll be back

lovely place on gertrude street. excellent service and the food was fresh, tasty and we are already planning our next outing to Ish! Our dishes (we are vegetarian): Dahi Puri Vada Pav Cauliflower Curried Hummus (excellent veggie choice) Ish Makhani Paneer (omg this was drool worthy!) Do get the garlic naan on the side- best naan i’ve ever had. … indian elixir cocktail is a strong rec!!!!! cute serving dishes too!

Having walked past here for years, we’re kicking ourselves for not booking a table sooner! We chose the Celebration menu and were treated to a feast of flavours and textures with a modern twist at every turn. Our ebullient waitress went out of her way to make our experience something to remember. It was great to meet one of the owners as we were leaving, and witness his culinary passion first hand. Highly recommended for a special occasion, excellent value for money, and perfectly situated on beautiful Gertrude Street.
