Colombar is a great spot if you’re into Sri Lankan flavours with a western twist. The hot butter cuttlefish is a must-try — super crispy and full of flavour. The mango chicken is also excellent, with a real, well-balanced mango taste. Cocktails are amazing and go perfectly with the food. The vibe is relaxed, and the staff are very friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. Highly recommended — will definitely be back. 🍹🍽️

Absolutely delicious Sri Lankan food with incredible depth of flavour. Every dish was vibrant and comforting, but the standout for me was the prawn curry — perfectly cooked and full of rich, aromatic spices. A special mention to our server, Fiona, who was an absolute delight and truly the best waitress we’ve had. She was so accommodating and made the experience even more enjoyable. Cocktails were delicious as well. We loved the sambal so much that we asked if we could buy a tub to take home, and they kindly sold us one for $10 — a generous and thoughtful touch. My mum and sisters all thoroughly enjoyed the meal as well. A wonderful dining experience from start to finish — we can’t wait to return!

Enjoyed a lovely dinner here. Our meals for a couple were all spot on with taste and looks. The menu was surprising with a mix of cultural classics and a few Aussie servings. The venue is in a quiet backstreet of Richmond with easy parking. The atmosphere is modern and welcoming. The impeccable service and food guidance provided by Fiona was exceptional.

Absolutely loved our experience here. The staff were amazing and the service was excellent. We had the chicken kottu, prawn curry and Ros pan, Chai and Mocha all were 10/10. The flavours were so authentic that it felt like being back in Sri Lanka. We were really craving proper Sri Lankan food and this place truly delivered. Highly satisfied. The customer service was truly exceptional; the staff was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. ​The food was a highlight of the evening. Every dish was tasty, and it was clear that a lot of care went into the preparation. Everything was delicious and satisfying. ​The evening was made even more special by a lovely and unexpected detail. A little birthday surprise was brought out, and it was made even more unique by the beautiful sound of a live acoustic guitar. It was a thoughtful and charming touch that elevated the entire experience and is something we won't soon forget. ​This restaurant truly excels in every aspect. Highly recommended!
