Delicious Thai food and incredible lake view. If will be better if I can have a boat 🥹

The restaurant was very busy on a Monday evening. We ordered Fried rice, Tom Yum Soup and Jasmine tea. The portion size of Fried rice was humongous! They were very generous with their tofu! The soup had authentic Thai flavour as well. Jasmine tea was jasmine tea :-) The food was great and the service could have been better. Overall, a good Thai restaurant. Recommend it! Came to Canberra for a visit and decided to try this restaurant after seeing many good recommendations. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. We ordered two lunch specials (Pad Thai and Boat Noodle) and a few entrees. After paying, the total felt higher than expected, so we asked the front counter for the receipt to check. That’s when we discovered that the lunch specials were charged at full menu prices. When we raised this, the staff told us that we were served “large portions,” so they charged the normal price, and claimed that the lunch special price only applies if you specifically order from the lunch special menu. This is simply not true — we pointed directly at the lunch special menu photos when ordering. The front counter then called the staff member who took our order. The staff insisted we ordered from the normal menu. I pointed out that the restaurant has CCTV and suggested they check the footage, as it would clearly show us pointing at the lunch special menu. While ordering the Boat Noodle, the staff even pointed at the fish balls in the picture and mentioned they might be out of stock and asked if that was okay — which clearly shows the order was based on the lunch special menu. Despite this, the front counter repeatedly (and unwillingly) asked, “Are you sure? Are you sure?” Only after I repeatedly insisted they check the CCTV, they finally refunded the difference — with a very poor attitude. The food itself was okay, but the pricing transparency and service were unacceptable. Customers should not have to argue or threaten to use CCTV evidence just to be charged correctly. Very disappointing experience overall.

Very nice restaurant at the waterfront with Mount Ainslie views. The staff were very friendly and the dishes were delicious! Would come back again!

Authentic Thai cuisine with a lovely lake view. The food is tasty and reasonably priced—definitely a great dining option.
