Enjoyed a delicious dinner at Carnation Thai on a rainy Monday summer evening. Restaurant was very busy but they found a table for 2 for us in no time. Extensive menu, stirfry meals and curries dont come with rice. We ordered a Chicken and Peanut sauce and Chicken with Black Pepper Sauce and 1 portion of rice to share. Portions were enormous and we struggled to finish. Prices reasonable especially given size of food. Staff were friendly and attentive and the food came out very quickly. Would recommend.

I ordered the cashew nut stir fry with noodles and specifically called beforehand to confirm how the dish is served. Despite this, my order arrived without noodles. When I called the restaurant to ask about the mistake, the person on the phone was rude and dismissive. Very disappointing, both in terms of accuracy and customer service. I won’t be ordering again.

I just arrived Wollongong after a long flight from the U.S., and decided to give this restaurant a try as it is near my hotel. They have a lunch special menu on weekdays, with a good range of entree items that come with noodles or rice ranging from AU$15 to $19. With the exchange rate currently at US$1 = AU$1.5, it is a great deal! I got the stir fried wide noodles with beef and Chinese kale, and it was ok. The ratio of beef to noodles was good but the amount of Chinese kale was barely a few pieces which was a disappointment. Service was bare minimum and not as friendly compared to other Thai restaurants I have been to.

The fod is really good. The taste was authentic Thai. We ordered 2 dishes for 2 people and another 2 rice. The food served quite fast and the staff is nice.
