Pleasantly surprised after ordering some takeaway on Friday night. Great portions, great mix of perfectly cooked vegetables in each of the dishes, and amazing flavours in the curries and stir fries. We ordered enough for six people and didn't have a single compliant from any of us, including one vegetarian. Best Thai restaurant in Hobart!
Take-out service: food can only be categorised as AWFUL. Pad See Ew as though it was scraped out of one day old lunch servery pan from the daily lunch special. Tasteless, veg not cooked, (carrots and broccoli) and since when is English chard a Thai vegetable; flat noodles were broken up bits, barely discernible in the dish. Chicken old, tough and dry. No sauce to speak ofโฆI felt sorry for my son who paid $21 per dish. Disgusted! They need to pick their game at those prices. No food poisoning so thatโs a bonus.
I went in twice for dinner during my trip to Hobart (Thurs 9th and Fri 10th October). Food was great and the portions were very generous! I really enjoyed the meal. The waitress that served me on both nights was amazing. Very friendly and attentive - I didn't catch her name unfortunately but she was great.
The restaurant changed new boss. Feel like a Korean guy. I don't want to say any bad words, because as a migrant, I knew how hard to run a restaurant overseas. But My husband and I ordered their food. One chicken stir fry, one vegetarian curry. We been waited for a loooong time for their food until my 6 years old son told me he is too hungry. Mt dish came first. And after a while my husband's. But it was wrong. Not vegetarian at all. So, I told the boss, and the boss brought it back and ask the kitchen cook another one. The curry came much quicker this time. But after eating, the next day, we both badly running belly. It's hard for my husband work and hurt me a lot when I looking after child. It's right before flight tomorrow. And we are so worried about our trip. I am thinking, either the restaurant is not clean, or the cook theor trying to revenge their boss. Doesn't matter for what reason, I am not going there again! It's different with the original restaurant. Hope their branch in Sandy Bay is still OK...
Itโs the best Thai food in Hobart. The pad see you (donโt know how to spell) is amazing with the 18 hour beef atop, the fish cakes are truly the only tender fish cakes Iโve had in a Thai restaurant because we all know they can be a bit rubbery. I also tried veg pad Thai which was too sweet, I should have got some fish sauce to adjust the seasoning a bit. Nice Tassie wines also.
