Went to 82 Thai Restaurant on a date and they took great care of us from the moment we walked in. The food was excellent—generous portions, full of flavour, and true to Thailand. The service really stood out. It’s the little things: our water kept being replaced with cold bottles straight from the fridge without us even asking. It was early in the year and you could tell they were doing a lot of takeaway, but I actually loved eating in. It’s relaxed, not flashy, and feels authentic. The staff are friendly and actually Thai, so you’re getting the real deal. My Chicken Cashew Nut was spot on, and the Prawn Pad Thai my date ordered was excellent. Pad Thai is a solid yardstick for any Thai restaurant, and they nailed it. Only minor note: a few dishes weren’t available, but that’s understandable this early in the year. I’ll definitely be back.

Have eaten from 82 Thai a number of times now and have enjoyed everything I have tried on the menu so far. Beautiful fresh food always high quality and wonderful service. Dumplings in red curry sauce are amazing!

Local and disappointed after reading all the good reviews because it was the worst Pad Thai I’ve probably ever had. Maybe I was unlucky, but it had too much shrimp paste (strong didn’t taste toasted, not enough garlic or spring onion, needed more acid tomato base, less protein (no tofu/veg option), thicker noodle, more char (wok breath), fresher egg, more sesame/peanut oil, etc. I know good Asian food, and I’ll try one more time and if it’s good, I’ll be there 2-3 nights a week! I’m only providing feedback because I would love good Thai in walking distance. Let’s hope next time it’s as good as the reviews… Yet to be convinced B]

The service was amazing!!! The lady was quick, pleasant & kind. We had three dishes & they were all tasty 😋 If we were local I would definitely return!!!
